Driving Efficiency, Visibility, and Innovation with Snowflake
PayU, Rapyd company, a global fintech leader, struggled to manage costs and gain visibility across a complex, multi-tool data stack. To address this, the CDO partnered with Seemore Data to implement AI-powered cost optimization and governance on top of Snowflake. Seemore acted as an AI teammate-monitoring usage, flagging inefficiencies, and driving real-time savings.

PayU faced the complexity of managing data across regions, teams, and tools – Snowflake, Astronomer, Tableau, and DBT all playing critical roles. With such a distributed environment, budgets were difficult to control, inefficiencies were hidden, and ROI was hard to prove to leadership.
The Chief Data Officer needed both cost governance and visibility to justify investments in data initiatives and ensure the data team’s seat at the revenue table.
Partnering with Seemore Data, PayU implemented advanced cost optimization, AI-driven insights, and governance capabilities on top of Snowflake.
Seemore became a “data AI teammate” – continuously monitoring, identifying waste, and recommending real-time optimizations.
Through a series of optimizations – from reducing idle time and cleaning up orphan tables to migrating warehouses, refining scaling policies, and eliminating unused data flows, PayU streamlined its Snowflake environment. These initiatives not only boosted performance by 50% on key workloads and simplified the overall system, but also delivered-
$120K in total savings within just three months.
Seemore Data identified and flagged unused processes across the stack—such as redundant Tableau dashboards, stale DBT models, and idle compute resources. These inefficiencies were silently draining Snowflake credits and adding to operational overhead. By eliminating them, PayU was able to stop wasteful spend and improve overall platform performance.
With Seemore’s tagging and UI, PayU applied data governance principles across departments, assigning ownership and accountability.
Seemore’s AI agent continuously recommends warehouse resizing, consumption mode shifts, and optimizations – described by the PayU team as “like having a real (AI) friend who knows my needs and my data.”
